EWC’s Sengkang LNG project progresses (Gallery)

Energy World Corporation, which is developing the Sengkang LNG project on the South Sulawesi coastline issued an image update of the project’s construction progress. 

The project consists of one modular LNG train with a capacity of 0.5 MTPA, with plans to add three additional trains and increase the capacity to 2 MTPA, an LNG storage facility, and an LNG loading facility.

In an earlier report, the company said that he equipment, including four cold-boxes, compressors and ancillary equipment, has been installed on site. The LNG storage tank has been fully slipformed and jetty works are being finalized as loading arms have been installed.

The interconnecting pipework and the installation of he control and instrumentation systems are being completed. The first phase of interconnecting transmission systems is completed and on track to supply power to the site.

The company expects to complete the construction of the first train and associated works and undertake commissioning and commence operations within 2015.
