Faergen Cancels Third Vessel Ordered from German Shipyard

Faergen has reportedly cancelled the third unit ordered from Sietas Werft Shipyard in Germany, while the first vessel Samsoe has been renamed Langeland and the second one will be named Lolland.

The first unit ordered as Samsoe was constructed at the end of Summer 2011, and the second unit Langeland (NB 1296) is expected to be ready during Q1 2012.

The 99,9 meter long vessels will be 18,2 meters wide with the accommodation capacity for 600 passengers and spacious area for 120 cars. Advanced features include the LNG powered engine and the POD propeller.
