FERC Grants Construction of Sabine Pass Tie-Ins

The U.S. FERC has approved Cheniere Energy’s request to construct tie-ins at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Lousiana.

Sabine Pass LNG may construct the tie-ins in the areas between the existing Sabine Pass terminal and the Sabine Pass Liquefaction (SPL) project facilities (stages 1 and 2) and between stages 1 and 2 of the SPL facilities, FERC said.

FERC also approved Cheniere’s request to place the tie-ins in the existing terminal into operation immediately upon completion of the installation.
