FERC sets Oregon LNG final EIS date

The United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a notice of schedule for the environmental review of the Oregon LNG terminal.

According to the notice, FERC expects to issue the final EIS on February 12, 2016, while other Federal agencies will have a 90-day period to complete the review of the project components under their jurisdiction. The period ends May 12, 2016.

Oregon LNG’s proposed bidirectional LNG terminal would be located on the East Bank Skipanon Peninsula near the confluence of the Skipanon and Columbia Rivers in Warrenton, Clatsop County, Oregon.

The terminal would include a marine terminal with a ship berth for LNG carrier; two full-containment storage tanks, each designed to store 160,000 cubic meters of LNG; natural gas pretreatment facilities; two liquefaction process trains, regasification facilities, and other related support structures and systems.
