Finnlines to Delist Shares from Nasdaq Helsinki

Finnish operator of ro-ro and passenger services Finnlines has decided to apply for the termination of trading in the Finnlines shares and for the delisting of the shares from the official list of Nasdaq Helsinki.

The company, which operates in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, said that a delisting application will be filed with Nasdaq Helsinki today.

Namely, in its application, Finnlines requested that its shares be delisted from the official list of Nasdaq Helsinki “as soon as possible” following the acquisition of the shares in the company by Italian shipping firm Grimaldi Group S.p.A.

In June, the Arbitral Tribunal, appointed by the Redemption Committee of the Finland Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that Grimaldi is entitled to all the shares in Finnlines against the placing of a security approved by the Arbitral Tribunal for the payment of the redemption price.
