Modernized Deep Sea Trawler Stradale Hits the Water

Deep sea trawler “Stradale” was launched on October 24 in Boulogne sur mer – France. This 21.50 m vessel has been built by the French shipyard Socarenam.

This vessel is powered with a complete Moteurs Baudouin propulsion: 1 x 12 M26.2 engine (400 kW @ 1500 rpm) + 1 x ERB-GR PTO 1/8 + 1 x line shaft dia 170 mm for 4 blades CCP dia 2465 mm + 1 x nozzle dia 2500 mm

A Moteurs Baudouin genset: 6 W105S (85 kVA – 50 Hz).

Together Socarenam Shipyard and Eouzan-Travadon Shipowner have decided to modernize the deep trawler image by designing a shaped steel hull to reduce its wind resistance.

The combination between the “Stradale” race shape and the Moteurs Baudouin full propulsion equipped a big reduction, will allow this vessel to decrease its fuel consumption.
