France: Montoir Terminal Loads First Truck with LNG

Elengy, a GDF Suez unit, said  that on 27 September the Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal loaded its first truck with LNG. The LNG truck loading service has been available at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal since 1 July 2013, with a capacity of up to 4 trucks per day.

More than 1,200 loading operations have been reserved for the period from September 2013 to April 2016.

Elengy offers a range of solutions for the flourishing market in LNG fuel, and more generally road-transported LNG.

LNG fuel can power ships and road freight vehicles and is an economical response to new environmental demands in Europe.

Road-transported LNG is LNG transported by LNG trucks and is used to supply natural gas to distribution sites for LNG fuel or industrial sites not connected to the transmission grid.

Elengy is also looking into providing truck loading services at Fos Tonkin LNG terminal. This would start in the first half of 2014.
