The company informed in a brief statement through its social media channels that it has cut the steel for the seventh vessel in the Vinga series.

Ordered in April this year, the new vessel will be identical with the series of six sister vessels built by Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding for the Gothia Tankers Alliance, that also includes, Älvtank and Thun Tankers.

All vessels are designed with dual-fuel capability, capable of running on LNG and have features that reduce fuel and energy consumption resulting in extensively lower emissions of CO2, sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, and particles.

According to the brief statement, the vessel is scheduled for delivery in November 2020.
