G E Shipping Offloads Suezmax Tanker

Mumbai-based shipping company Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has decided to sell one of its Suezmax crude carriers.

The company recently signed a contract to dispose of Jag Lakshita which was built in South Korea in 2000.

The 147,092 dwt tanker will be delivered to an unnamed buyer in Q3 FY 2019-2020, according to G E Shipping.

With a capacity of 163,419 cbm, the ship features a length of 274.2 meters and a width of 47.8 meters. Jag Lakshita’s market value amounts to USD 13.16 million, data provided by VesselsValue shows.

Including Jag Lakshita, the company’s current fleet stands at 47 vessels, comprising 34 tankers and 13 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 11.98 years aggregating 3.85 million dwt.
