US LNG export project developer, Tellurian has awarded GAC LNG Services a contract to provide voyage management services for its first liquefied natural gas carrier, the Maran Gas Mystras.

To remind, Tellurian chartered the 160,000-cbm tri-fuel diesel electric (TFDE) propulsion vessel from Maran Gas, the gas shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group.

GAC LNG Services says it provides a full-service solution for the sector, covering charterers’ vessel operations, as well as technical and commercial information.

Under the Tellurian agreement, GAC’s global network of offices and approved agents will support operations, which will be overseen by GAC LNG Services in Houston, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. The value of the deal was not discloed.

GAC LNG Services was formed in 2016 by the Dubai-headquartered GAC Group in response to the surge in global LNG production, particularly in North America, to deliver technical services required for port calls by gas carriers.
