GAIL markets more LNG from U.S. portfolio

India’s GAIL is reportedly offering to sell 0.37 million tons of LNG for a period of 20 years.

As sources told Reuters GAIL invited bids for six cargoes of liquefied natural gas that will be sold on a free-on-board basis from the volumes the company has booked with LNG player Cheniere.

Sources added that the chilled gas will be supplied from the fourth liquefaction train at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass project, with the deadline for submitting bids set for July 31.

Indian company has already put deals in place to sell 2 mtpa of LNG from its U.S. portfolio.

The company booked 2.3 mtpa capacity at Dominion’s Cove Point liquefaction facility and has a 20 year deal with Cheniere for 3.5 mtpa of LNG.
