Dominion revealed that the construction on its Cove Point liquefaction project in Calvert County, Maryland is 24 percent complete.

In its January update filed to the United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Dominion revealed that the Engineering part of the project is 97 percent complete, while procurement is 89 percent done.

There were three barge equipment deliveries during the month of January, the report reveals.

Work on the existing plant modifications continued with the completion of the north tunnel welding and insulation. At the terminal, work continued on foundations, grading, steel erection, equipment placement, piping, tie-in’s, and electrical installation.

Despite a snow storm slowing down construction activities, activities continued on mobilization, site work, foundation work and piping fabrication, the report said.
