Gangavaram port in India to get an LNG facility

The state Cabinet has approved a 5 million tonnes per annum LNG project at Gangavaram port.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, talking to the media, said that the project will take about four years to commission, but the officials have called upon the developers to expedite it and complete the project within two years, reports Exim.

The state also recently decided to include Shell, with 26 percent equity in the proposed FSRU project for LNG at Kakinada.
