The facility recorded an hourly send-out of 16,057 MWh for a few hours on Tuesday, December 11.

The operator noted the volume is 80 percent of the facility’s maximum hourly send-out capacity of 20,000MWh.

Gate LNG noted in its statement that it is currently exploring the market interest for the potential increase of send-out by another 3,000 MWh.

Gate is owned by Gasunie and Vopak and is one of Europe’s largest LNG terminals. The LNG facility consists of three 180,000-cbm storage tanks and currently has an annual regasification capacity of 12 Bcm – equal to around 180 cargoes per year.
