Russian gas giant Gazprom said it has increased its natural gas exports to Austria.

From January 1 through October 10, 2016, Russian gas supplies to Austria totaled 4.18 billion cubic meters, a rise of 23.8 percent as compared to the same period a year before, Gazprom said in a statement.

Gazprom’s CEO Alexey Miller paid a visit to Austria on Monday where he held a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern in Vienna.

According to the statement, Miller and Kern discussed Russian-Austrian cooperation in the gas industry with special attention at the meeting given to the Nord Stream 2 project, as well as the asset swap between Gazprom and Austria’s OMV.
