Gazprom Increases Gas Supply to Turkey

An explosion ravaged the Eastern Anatolia Gas Pipeline near the Turkish city of Agri in the early hours of 19 October. Natural gas deliveries from Iran were completely halted.

Consequently, Turkish company BOTAŞ requested to increase daily shipment of Russian natural gas along the Blue Stream route up to 48 mcm.

Gazprom Export upped the deliveries in accordance with this application. Previous daily supplies totaled 32 mcm.

It remains unknown how long will the repair works last.
