General Dynamics NASSCO delivers second LNG-ready tanker to SEA-Vista

San Diego-based General Dynamics NASSCO delievered the Constitution, an LNG-conversion-ready ECO Class tanker, to SEA-Vista.

The Constitution is a 610-foot-long, 50,000 deadweight-ton, LNG-conversion-ready product tanker with a 330,000 barrel cargo capacity, the shipbuilder said in ts statement on Tuesday.

As part of an eight-ship program for two separate customers, the Constitution is the sixth ECO Class tanker built by NASSCO.

The Constitution which is the second vessel under a three ship contract with SEA-Vista, a partnership between SEACOR Holdings and Avista Capital Partners, has been launched and christened at the end of August.

The Constitution will be operated by Seabulk Tankers.

The vessel, like other  is built on a design by DSEC, a subsidiary of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of Busan, South Korea. It will feature a G-series MAN ME slow-speed main engine and an optimized hull form.
