German Government Expects Offshore Wind Liability Regime Agreement

Despite the differences between the Federal Environment Ministry and Ministry of Consumer Protection, German Government expects an agreement in the issue of liability for offshore wind farms.

According to Dow Jones Newswires, disagreements are not uncommon during the phase of departmental coordination, during which the various ministries have the opportunity to contribute their specific point of view in a discussion.

The federal cabinet will meet on Wednesday regarding the issue of liability for offshore wind farms and if it reaches an agreement, the bill has to be put on the parliamentary legislative process.
