Germany: Allianz Sees Financial Opportunity in Offshore Wind Investment

Offshore wind projects are of big interest to Allianz, due to growing pressure that low interest rate environment puts on the insurance company.

Consequently, Allianz needs to cut costs in order to get higher returns on investment, Reuters quotes the company’s CFO Oliver Baete.

The investment could be as high as EUR 1 billion if the project and preconditions are recognized as attractive.
