Germany: LOTUS Containers Appoints New COO

LOTUS Containers, headed by CEO Willem-Alexander Dous (39), has appointed Mark Wilkinson (49) as COO, effective August 2013.

Mark Wilkinson has several years of experience in the Shipping industry and has held Senior Management positions in Container Leasing and in Container Liner Shipping, most recently as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Oldenburg-Portugiesischen Dampfschiffs-Reederei GmbH & Co.KG.

“In order to remain successful and to continue to pursue our growth strategy in the current challenging market, it was essential to strengthen our structure. In Mark Wilkinson we have attracted a very experienced Manager who also brings an excellent network in the relevant business sectors,” stated Willem-Alexander Dous.
