Greatship in Vessel Sale

Greatship Global Offshore Services, a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India), has struck a deal to sell its ROV support vessel Greatship Ragini.

Greatship Ragini was delivered from Colombo Dockyard Plc, Sri Lanka in 2013, has an overall length of 78 meters and beam length of 17 meters.

The vessel was taken on a long-term charter in 2014 by Geoquip Marine and set up with a 120-tonne twin derrick drill rig to obtain samples and core in water depths up to 2,500 meters.

Greatship Ragini is a DP2 vessel, capable of supporting offshore exploration and production and has accommodation for 50 persons.

Reportedly, the vessel is expected to be delivered to an undisclosed buyer in the second or third quarter of fiscal year 2017.

The company did not disclose the commercial terms between the parties.
