Greystoke Marine Management has been contracted by Swan LNG Private to provide marine and LNG consultancy services to support the development and commissioning of the Jafrabad FSRU project in India.

The two-year contract, which has an option to extend until the terminal is fully operational follows an earlier contract to support Swan in the development of the FSRU specifications.

The new contract scope calls for Greystoke to provide a range of marine-related management services throughout the project in various locations in India such as Ahmedabad, Jafrabad and Mumbai, the consultancy founded by former Teekay senior executives, said on Thursday.

Swan LNG, is a unit of Swan Energy, is developing India’s first FSRU-based LNG import terminal at Jafrabad in Gujarat with a total capacity of 5 mtpa.

In August, Triumph Offshore, another Swan Energy unit, executed a shipbuilding contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries for the construction of a floating storage and regasification unit with the storage capacity of 180,000 cubic meters for the project.

The company has already contracted Black & Veatch to deliver the jetty topside and onshore LNG facilities for the terminal.

Once completed, the FSRU will be moored to a fixed jetty and regasify imported LNG to enable distribution by pipeline and road tanker.

The facility is expected to go on-stream by early-2020.
