Guanghui Energy inks LNG HoA with Petronas

Chinese independent company Guanghui Energy informed it has signed a heads of agreement (HoA) to purchase liquefied natural gas from Malaysia’s Petronas.

According to a statement released  by Guanghui Energy on Wednesday, state-owned Petronas will start to supply the chilled gas to the Chinese company from 2017.

Guanghui did not reveal the amount of LNG it plans to buy from Petronas.

The liquefied natural gas will be delivered to Guanghui’s LNG import terminal in Qidong City, Jiangsu province.

The LNG terminal will have an initial import capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year. There are also plans to expand the terminal to 3 mtpa.
