Gujarat Gas, Petronet sign LNG cooperation agrement

India’s city gas distribution company, Gujarat Gas signed an agreement to cooperate with India’s largest LNG importer Petronet to cooperate on LNG business. 

According to Gujarat Gas’ short filing to the Indian stock exchange, the two companies signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore, distribute and marketing of LNG and CNG at Gujarat Gas’ filing stations.

Gujarat Gas operates a network of 16,000 km of gas pipeline and 233 CNG stations in India.

Petronet LNG operates two liquefied natural gas terminal, the 15 mtpa Dahej liquefied natural gas terminal in Gujarat and the 5 mtpa Kochi LNG terminal.
