Hans Energy targets LNG terminal construction

Hans Energy informed it signed a letter of intent with an unnamed independent third party to construct and operate an LNG terminal in Guangdong Province, China.

The operator of jetty and storage facilities for handing and storing oil, gas and liquid petrochemical products said in its filing to the stock exchange on Tuesday that the LNG terminal will serve as the base for the import of LNG into Guangdong and the onward distribution of LNG in the region.

Hans Energy and the counterparty, which is principally engaged in the sale and distribution of energy products including LNG and LPG, intended to form another joint venture company to construct and operate LNG refill stations in the province.

The two companies also intend to set up an LPG terminal for handling the import of liquefied petroleum gas into Guangdong province and subsequent distribution in the area.
