Hansa in new management team appointments ahead of drilling ops

Hansa Hydrocarbons, an exploration and production company focused on the Southern North Sea including the UK, Dutch and German offshore sectors, has appointed new members to the company’s management team ahead of future drilling operations.

The company on Monday, March 7, 2016, announced three appointments, namely Don Ferguson as Chief Operating Officer, Bob Lyons as Well Engineering Manager and Steve Smith as Head of HSEQ.

According to the company, Ferguson, Lyons, and Smith have been working on various projects with Hansa for some time and with the momentum now building on the planned drilling of two play-opening wells in the Netherlands in 2017, these highly experienced additions to the management team gives the company an operational capability that will allow it to conduct its operations in a safe and responsible manner.

Hansa was recently awarded two new licences under the Danish 7th Licensing Round, namely Licences 7/16 and 14/16 in the Danish sector of the North Sea.
