Helix Q4000 Delivers More Gulf of Mexico Projects

Helix Energy Solutions’ well intervention subsidiary, Helix Well Ops, has completed a four-month campaign in the Gulf of Mexico carrying out intervention to decommissioning work scopes.

According to the company, a total of six jobs were executed, including a lump sum construction decommissioning work scope comprising of heavy lifts and subsea flowline work.

The work was completed utilizing the Q4000, a DP3 semisubmersible vessel purpose-built for well intervention, with its 10,000 psi intervention riser system (IRS), and construction in water depths to 10,000 feet.

During these work scopes Helix said it experienced 99% uptime on average over the past four months.
