Hertel in Temati Management Buy-Out

Hertel Holding BV, the shareholders and management of Temati have reached an agreement on the sale of the shares of Temati to the management of the company.

As of 24th January 2013, through a management buy-out, 100% of the shareholding has been transferred to the management of Temati, consisting of Frank Scheerder (Managing Director), Arjan Jongkind (General Manager) and Stefan Naenen (Controller).

Hertel established Temati in 1962 for the promotion and sale of Foster Mastics, Coatings and Sealants in the Benelux. Today, Temati supplies a complete range of specialised products for the chemical/petrochemical and shipbuilding industries.

With the head office based in Beverwijk, The Netherlands, Temati has subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, France and the Czech Republic, and has a network of specialised distributers throughout Europe. In recent years, the company has also extended its reach to cover the Middle East.

Frank Scheerder, Managing Director Temati: “The independence of the Temati Group fits perfectly with the developments in the company in recent years. With full autonomy, we are able to continue with our strategy and vision effectively. This will mean our partners can be assured of our specialised knowledge and product range well into the future.”

For Hertel, the divestment of Temati fits with the strategy of the company to focus on its core business of access solutions, insulation and coatings in the industrial sector.
