High Speed Craft Collided with Ro-Ro Ferry Und Ege in Sea of Marmara, Turkey

The 88 meter long, 470 dwt high speed Craft  Osman Gazi 1 collided with the 193 meter long, 9830 dwt ro-ro ferry Und Ege in the Sea of Marmara on December 26, 2011.

The Und Ege struck the upper port side of the ferry’s hull operating between İstanbul’s Yenikapı port and Güzelyalı, Bursa causing some minor damage. No injuries to the 830 passengers and 150 vehicles on the Osman Gazi 1 have been reported. An investigation regarding the accident is expected to be carried out.
