Subsea World News has put together a recap of the most interesting articles from the previous week (April 13 – April 19).

Technip has been awarded a brownfield subsea contract for the Triton floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated by Dana Petroleum, located in the central North Sea.

Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen, United Kingdom (UK), will execute this contract which is a continuation of similar work successfully completed in 2014.

Bourbon SA has been placed under formal investigation following the arrest and investigation of its former tax manager under suspicion of bribery of foreign public officials.

Pursuant to this procedure, after the former tax manager was placed under formal investigation, some members of the executive management were placed under formal investigation in April and November 2013 for complicity in bribery.

Subsea 7 S.A. has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD$200 million with a duration of approximately two years.

The contract is for the installation of flexible lines for Petrobras’ projects using Subsea 7’s construction and flex-lay vessel Seven Seas, on a day-rate basis. The vessel has been operating for Petrobras under a similar day-rate contract since 2013 and will start the new contract in direct continuation to the current one.

Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (KONGSBERG) has been awarded a contract by Saipem for delivery of subsea structures for the gas export pipeline project of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project.

The scope of work involves Adjustable Pipe Support structures (APS) to the pipeline. The APS’s will support the pipeline and bring it to the required height and orientation at the end termination. KONGSBERG will do Engineering, Procurement and Construction and delivery while Saipem will do the installation.

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) informed that AS Norske Shell has been given green light to use Island Constructor for activities at well 6407/09-A-555-H on the Draugen field.

Draugen is an oil field in the Norwegian Sea in 250 metres of water. The field has been developed using a fixed concrete facility with an integrated deck. Stabilised oil is stored in tanks in the base of the facility.
