Höegh Bolsters Service to New Zealand

Oslo-based shipping company Höegh Autoliners will increase the number of sailings to Auckland, New Zealand on the company’s Europe to Africa and Oceania service starting from February.

Höegh is introducing two vessel calls per month to Auckland on the trade as a response to increasing market demand, the company said.

“Over the next years, imports to Oceania of new light vehicles is expected to grow steadily and in 2015 the market saw almost 4% growth.

“This positive development is, in part, supported by the solid performance of New Zealand,” Höegh added.

Apart from two direct calls per month to Auckland, Höegh Autoliners said it offers services to Lyttleton and Wellington in New Zealand through transhipment.
