Hoegh LNG: Lithuania FSRU Construction in Full Swing

Höegh LNG of Norway said Friday that its floating LNG storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to be used as an LNG import terminal in Lithuania is almost complete for launching.

The FSRU is being built at HHI’s shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea.

In March 2012 Höegh LNG entered into a firm ten year time charter with Klaipedos Nafta for the FSRU, which will be located in Lithuania’s harbor of Klaipeda.

The FSRU has a regas capacity to supply 100% of Lithuania´s current demand of natural gas.
