Salvage crew removes sunken dredge near Lynnhaven Inlet

A salvage crew has removed a pipeline dredge that sank last week in the Chesapeake Bay, near the Lynnhaven Inlet and the Lesner Bridge, after being swamped by waves. Using a 60-ton floating crane, the dredge was taken to a marina in Little Creek, where it will be repaired, said Tom Friberg, acting chief of the operations section for the Army Corps of Engineers
