Australian unions claim victory in shipping dispute

A ship at the centre of a week-long industrial dispute in Australia has set sail, with unions claiming a victory.

The MT Stolt, the country’s last flagged chemical tanker, had been docked in the southern city of Hobart since Sunday, when the crew stopped work in protest against plans to replace them with Filipino sailors.

Stolt NYK also wanted to re-flag the ship in the Cayman Islands.
