Venice lends its lights to the third leg of the Pershing Sea Show

The third leg in the prestigious tour that has witnessed Pershing yachts and style drop anchor in some of the most spectacular marinas in the Mediterranean, came to an end last Sunday.
From June 14 to 17, following on from Split and Mallorca, it was the turn of Venice to welcome customers, aficionados, dealers, press and special guests to the latest stopover in the Pershing Sea Show, an event designed to offer an exciting preview of the shipyard’s latest model, the Pershing 72’.
And certainly this location succeeded in enhancing the tight bond between the brand and the world of design, partly thanks to the fleet being moored in the Venetian Arsenal, in the midst of the Biennale exhibition area. Here guests were able to enjoy typical Pershing atmospheres surrounded by the contemporary art show currently on display. The result was a highly successful event with a marked cosmopolitan flavour that witnessed customers and prospective clients arrive from all 5 continents.

“The Venice event has been a great success also considering the sales figures recorded during the Pershing Dealers Meeting, the most important update in the shipyard’s worldwide sales network calendar – says Tilli Antonelli, the Pershing president – “the requests from overseas countries have increased, and we’ve been able to strengthen relationships with new markets as India, Bulgaria and Rumania and already new dealerships have been announced for the close future in Egypt and South Africa”.

The Venetian agenda was very rich for all the guests.
From Thursday to Sunday, the main attractions at the Sea Show were the sea trials. These intense cruising experiences took place against the unique colours and skylines of the lagoon, a scenario made even more spectacular by the presence of the entire Pershing range. The sight of all the various models putting to sea together was an unforgettable and exciting feat of choreography that those aboard were able to enjoy being part of. Above all the trials were a unique opportunity for visitors to discover at close hand the innovative mixture of high performance features and superior style that distinguishes the shipyard’s new model, the Pershing 72’. A craft that has succeeded in amazing everyone, especially for the elegance and originality of its interior design, enhanced by the luxurious Poltrona Frau furnishings and fittings.

A press conference on Thursday 14 set the ball rolling at the Pershing Sea Show in Venice. This event had a genuinely international flavour created by over 70 journalists from all around the world. These press representatives enjoyed a garden lunch in the picturesque setting of the Venetian Arsenal and then spent the afternoon conducting sea trials on the Pershing fleet. A special dinner for the press was organised in the evening in the historic Venice Casino amongst the nocturnal reflections of the Grand Canal.

The evening of Friday 15, on the other hand, was spent enjoying a splendid party at the Hotel Westin Excelsior on the Lido sea front. Here, after an aperitif by the swimming pool and a sumptuous dinner prepared in the white stuccoed dining hall, the guests were able to enjoy the performances of a 15-piece orchestra in a magical atmosphere on the terrace overlooking the sea. This was just the build up, however, to the highlight of the evening, when a series of mega screens positioned on the beach came on to play a series of gripping video images of the models in the Pershing fleet. To complete the scene, the brand new Pershing 72’ then lit up the night with its brilliant profile as it cruised across the stretch of water in front of the terrace and up to the entrance of the Hotel. The very last surprise of the evening made all the guests turn round again as the orchestra struck up and called their attention to the stage where Katia Ricciarelli and Francesco Zingariello enthralled everyone with a series of different pieces that together formed a vibrant taste of the art of Bel Canto. The evening’s programme then concluded with a firework display over the sea, leaving the guests to continue the party by the swimming pool with a DJ set and dancing until late in the night.

The evening of Saturday 16 was organised in more specifically typical Venetian environments, including an elegant dinner held once again in the historic, frescoed halls of the Venice Casino. The evening began with an aperitif in the garden of the famous palazzo, lapped by the waters of the Grand Canal and ended with guests meeting around the gaming tables to try their luck and enjoy together the unique charm of one of the oldest casinos in the world.

It was the Casinò di Venezia in fact, who joined together with a series of other leading companies to form a truly prestigious group of partners that played a fundamental role in making this event so special. Besides the Venice Casino, Porsche, confirmed and reinforced its partnership with the shipyard by displaying a number of its models at the various Pershing Sea Show locations. Mastro Raphael, the company responsible for all the fabrics used on Pershing yachts, organised the swimming pool area at the Hotel Westin Excelsior. Bellini, the wine merchant established in 1947 and destined to become an international success, gave a special Venetian touch to the catering services, thanks to its famous cocktail and the fine quality of its well-known Prosecco wines. Nonino offered guests at the dinner on Friday night a refined selection of spirits from the Friuli region. And naturally there was also Poltrona Frau, who could not possibly miss this event after designing and creating all the highly refined and comfortable interiors on the brand new Pershing 72’.
Together, this successful synergy of extraordinary companies created an aesthetic and emotional experience totally in line with the Pershing philosophy that has always focused on constant research and innovation in the luxury goods sector.

Effective communication and impressive commercial results were the overall outcome according to the highly gratifying sales data recorded during the event.

Now Athens awaits the Pershing yachts to celebrate the fourth and final leg of this very special tour. And even if the show may be coming to an end, the Pershing 72’s journey has just begun.
