HVS Launches One for Central Mare

Hyundai – Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) launched Hull No. S406, a 50.000 DWT product tanker, on 13th February 2014.

The vessel, named MONOIKOS, is the first 50.000 DWT ship in a series of six ordered by Central Mare, Greece.

If all goes to scheduled, Hull No. S406 will be delivered in May 2014.

The main particulars of the vessels are as follows:

• Length : 183 m
• Breadth : 32.2 m
• Depth : 19.1 m
• Cargo capacity: 53,550 m3
• Speed : 15 knots
