Hydroid Adds New Members to Its Team (USA)

Hydroid, a Cape Cod-based leading manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV’s) has added 5 talented new employees to the company.

Rich Amirault has joined Hydroid, Inc., a Pocasset-based manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), as Manufacturing Manager. An accomplished manufacturing operations leader with a passion for transforming business processes, Amirault brings with him extensive experience assessing complex supply chains, integrating processes, and manufacturing highly complex multi-level products. Prior to joining Hydroid, Amirault held a leadership role at New Age Technologies for close to 15 years. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering. Amirault also holds an MBA from Babson College.

Robert Murray has joined Hydroid, Inc., a Pocasset-based manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), as Customer Service Manager. Murray is a service management veteran with experience in web-based non-woven manufacturing/measurement, semiconductor capital equipment and various modes of electronic printing technology. Murray brings years of experience in simultaneously improving customer satisfaction and global service profitability. Prior to joining Hydroid, Murray held roles with Gloucester Engineering, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Presstek, Optronics , Autographix and ASECO. Murray is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he earned a BS degree in Information Systems.

Libby Signell has joined Hydroid, Inc. a Pocasset-based manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), as Program Manager. With nearly 30 years of experience as a Design Engineer, Design Lead, Project Manager and Program Manager in product development, low rate initial production and full rate production, Signell brings a significant set of skills to Hydroid. Most recently, Signell managed large government development and manufacturing contracts at Lockheed Martin/Sippican and at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Signell holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Jim McKay has joined Hydroid, Inc. a Pocasset-based manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), as Technical Documentation Product Manager. Jim has more than 25 years of combined electronics experience, including 14 years in the US Air Force / Air National Guard as a Telecommunications and Satellite and Wideband Systems Technician. In addition, Jim has more than 12 years of experience as a Senior Technical Writer and Documentation Manager with primary focus in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Prior to joining Hydroid, McKay worked as a Documentation Manager for Roamworks GmbH in Bonn, Germany. McKay holds a degree in English from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.

Timothy Stamnitz has joined Hydroid, Inc. a Pocasset-based manufacturer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), as a Senior Sales Engineer for emerging markets. Stamnitz has 23 years of experience as an engineering physicist, product manager, and executive manager in undersea fiber optic sensor/communication systems for the US Navy and private sector telecom companies. Stamnitz cofounded a company that installed a high-speed fiber-optic transport network on the California Coast and served as President/CEO for seven years. Prior to joining Hydroid, Stamnitz returned to graduate school and received an M.S. in Physics at the University of New Hampshire, where he also served as a Teaching Assistant in Physics for two years.
