Hyundai Mipo Snags Bulker Trio

South Korea-based Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co (HMD), one of HHI’s subsidiaries, has won a contract to build three bulk carriers for an unnamed European owner.

The contract, announced yesterday on the Korea Exchange, is estimated to be worth around $101 million.

The announcement did not disclose particulars of the ships or equipment to be used onboard except that the delivery of the vessels should be completed by March 2016.
