Hyundai Mipo Wins Four PCs

South Korea-based Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co (HMD), two days ago, signed a contract to build four products carriers for an unnamed European owner.

The contract, announced yesterday in a regulatory filing, is estimated to be worth around $126.2 million.

The announcement did not disclose any particulars of the ships or equipment to be used onboard except that the delivery of the vessels should be completed by September 2014.

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co, one of HHI’s subsidiaries, is a shipbuilder of medium-sized vessels such as product/chemical carriers, bulk carriers, container carriers, PCTCs, Con/Ro-Ro vessels, LPG carriers, General Cargo Carriers, Asphalt Carriers, offshore units and specialized vessels.
