ICON Scoops Woodside Greater Enfield Deal

Woodside has awarded ICON Engineering a scope of works providing subsea rig interfaces for the Greater Enfield oil development project.

The work involves detailed design and fabrication in both Perth and Singapore, shipyard installation and offshore commissioning for the interfaces.

The Greater Enfield Project is a joint venture between Woodside (Operator, 60%) and Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (40%), and is located in Commonwealth waters 60 km off Exmouth in Western Australia.

Greater Enfield will develop the Laverda Canyon, Norton over Laverda (WA-59-L) and Cimatti (WA-28-L) oil accumulations.

These reserves will be produced via a 31 km subsea tie-back to the Ngujima-Yin floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility, which is currently located over the Vincent oil field.

ICON Engineering managing director, David Field, said: “Woodside has been a client of ICON’s for 20 years. It’s fitting that in our 20th year, we’re able to continue support for Woodside with the development of the Greater Enfield oilfield, and other projects.”

2017 marks the 20 year anniversary of the formation of ICON.

“ICON could not have achieved this 20 year milestone without the support of its valued clients, and the dedication of the many brilliant staff who have worked with us over this time. Our staff are our primary assets,” Field said.
