Sea Challenger Lives Up to the Challenge
On 4 August 2014, the brand new jack-up vessel Sea Challenger loaded the last components for the first batch for Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm in the UK.

Sea Challenger is scheduled to leave Esbjerg today, on 6th of August and installation is expected to start this week.

“It will be interesting to see our new vessel in action for the first time. However, I have no doubt that she will manage the installation with success as expected,” says Peter Eriksen, master on board Sea Challenger.

The Westermost Rough OWF comprises of 35 Siemens 6MW turbines and is located 8 kilometers of the coast of Holderness in the UK.

Delivered in March 2014, the new vessel has been optimised to operate at depths of up to 60 metres depending on tide and penetration, making it well suited to installing upcoming offshore wind projects in Northern Europe.
