India receives LNG shipment

India’s Dahej LNG import terminal received a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar during the weekend.

The 216,200 cbm Al Thumama tanker departed from the Petronet LNG-operated Dahej terminal on Monday, shipping data says.

Petronet has earlier this year given green light for further expansion of its LNG terminal in Gujarat to 17.5 mtpa.

The company is already undergoing expansion works at the LNG terminal to boost its capacity to 15 mtpa. The construction works are expected to be complete by November next year.
