BP, PLN in Tangguh LNG Talks

BP of UK is in negotiations with Indonesia’s PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, to sell 1 million mt of LNG per annum from Tangguh LNG terminal.

Tangguh is operated by BP Indonesia, with a 37.16 per cent interest.

We are looking for a long-term contract of more than 10 years,” Nur Pamudji, the president director of PLN, told Bloomberg. The LNG will be used to supply a floating terminal in offshore North Sumatra, which will be built by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, he said.

The Tangguh LNG processing plant consists of two trains with a capacity to  produce 7.6 million metric tons of LNG a year.
