IOEC Begins South Pars Phase 17 Production Platform Loading (Iran)

The final stage of loading Platform A, weighing 2800 tons, for Phase 17, South Pars Gas Field Development Project, began in Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co.’s yard in Khorramshahr, in the presence of Eng. Rostam Qassemi.

According to SHANA’s correspondent from Khorramshahr, after loading, the platform will be moored and fixed onto the barge for 10 days. It will be then transferred to Phase 17 Site in Persian Gulf within 5 days.

The installation and operation of the platform will be done via modern vessels of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co. (IOEC) in 3 to 5 months time and it will be ready for production in the coming winter.

Upon the operation of this 2,800 tons platform, a billion cubic feet of gas will be added to Iran’s gas production capacity.

Khorramshahr Yard is a subdivision of IOEC, with a 20-year record in construction of marine structures (including jackets, platforms, bridges and flares) and it plays an important role in supplying goods as well as construction and installation of marine structures in South Pars Gas Field Development Project and other national projects.
