2000 Gas Plans to Come Online, Says Official

More than 2000 gas supply and development plans will come online on the 34th anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution, Managing director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Javad Owji said.

Elaborating on the plans, he said supplying 34 cities, 1147 villages and 305 industrial units with gas, launching 10 gas transfer pipelines and 21 CNG stations are among the plans coming on line concurrent with 34th anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution in February 1979, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

“Delivery of gas to 141 thousand and 221 Maskan Mehr units is among the other plans during the Ten Days of Dawn”, Owji said.

On the latest developments related to gas supply to cities and villages, he said: 95 percent of urban areas and 56 percent of rural areas of the country are enjoying gas supply services, which covers 938 cities and 13 thousand villages across the country.
