Iran: Gas Exports to Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan Reach 4.5 Bcm

Iran has exported 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan during the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2011), director of gas transmission operation (district 8), Yadollah Baibverdi said.

According to the report of the public relations of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), he stated that based on the agreement between two countries, Iran is obligated to supply Turkey with annually 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

He went on to say that, Iran exported 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey during the last year.

He stated that, Iran has resumed natural gas export to Turkey on Friday after nine-day halt requested by Turkey over technical reason.
