Iran Gas Injection in Shorijeh Facility Begins

Gas injection operations in Shorijeh gas storage facility has started, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Hamidreza Araqi announced.

He said that one million cubic meters of gas was injected into the facility’s two wells, adding that the injection will rise to 4 MMcm/d.

On the sidelines of the 19th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, Araqi said gas injection into Shourijeh gas storage facility will reach 10 MMcm/d.

NIGC and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) have jointly made first gas injection into Shourijeh gas facility.

The Shourijeh gas storage facility, located at the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, has the capacity to store 4.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
