Iran invites German companies to enter cooperation talks

Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh urged German companies to take the opportunity and enter into negotiations with Iranian counterparts prior to the lifting of sanctions so that contracts can be signed immediately after their relaxation.

German firms shall choose their local partners in the new round of cooperation with Iran and not limit themselves to Iran’s market, rather to the regional markets,” he told reporters after a meeting with the visiting Minister of Finance and Economics of Germany’s Baden-Württemberg state Nils Schmid, according to a statement by NIGC.

In the talks with German firms, Zanganeh said the Iranian side explained policies related to Article 44 of the Constitution as well as potentials of Iran in different areas.

He said Iran and Germany’s Baden-Württemberg state have had cooperation and are preparing to further their ties in areas such as economizing on energy consumption.

Considering that energy intensity in Iran is high and that Baden-Wurttemberg state is among the best in machinery production and automobile manufacturing, the two countries can cooperate in this field,” he added.
