Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Executive Operation to Start

Executive operations for the construction of the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline in Pakistan’s soil will begin in the presence of the president of these two countries.

The ceremony will also be attended by officials from some other countries.

According to the report of the public relations of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), under a contract between the two countries, Iran is slated to export 21.5 million cubic meters of gas to the neighboring country as of 2014.

Iran has already built more than 900 kilometers of the pipeline in its territory, while the laying of 800-km-long Pakistani section would commence now.
