North Harbour Development Plan Introduced

Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has introduced a plan for the harbour improvement works at the North Harbour, Cape Clear Island.

The proposed works comprise of the demolition of the Bull’s Nose (structure which has fallen into disrepair and it’s replacement with a new reinforced concrete structure), all civil and marine works associated with the provision of a storm gate to protect the existing harbour, supply and installation of a storm gate and all associated equipment and controls (the storm gate supplier will be novated to the main Contractor), construction of a slipway, dredging and reclamation works as well as armour protection to the new Bull’s Nose structure.

The deadline for the expressions of interest is April 22, 2013.
